We stopped here on a whim on a local recommendation and boy, what a great call! Native, pesticide free stunning plants at very reasonable prices and the variety was meaningfully focused. We got a tour of the gardens and it was stunning. I learned a lot and am adding this to the top of my list to visit every season :) Thank you for the hospitality and the plants!

wow, what a TREAT. The couple that run this nursery were so kind and knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to get a tour of their personal garden. Everything is priced extremely reasonably, and the array of native plants was impressive and diverse. Highly highly recommend any and all gardeners stop by! We will be back!

Great people, great plants. Quite a few things offered for sale here that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else in MS.

Absolutely one of the best nurseries out there. Beautiful, healthy pesticide free native plants. I have purchased many native plants for my butterfly gardens. The Poplarville City Park Pollinator Gardens have many of Backhouse Gardens plants in it. If you looking for a pesticide free nursery and some truly unique plants this is the place to go. Knowledgeable, spectacular customer service. Give them a try...you will be pleased.
